Solid Epoxy with Urethane Top-Coat
This 6,000 s/f commercial space was covered in tile and carpet. To rehab it, a resinous coating made the most sense. Proper surface prep is key to a successful installation of an overlay to create a bond with the concrete.
So, to start, we scraped the glue left from the tile and carpet then surface profiled the concrete with a planetary grinder. Once the surface is smooth, we patched the damaged concrete, then applied a self leveling material to fill in any voids in the surface. Next thing to go down was the primer coat, then a skim coat, followed by the epoxy with a urethane sealer.
