The Johnson family reached out to element7concrete to address a failing epoxy floor in their shop and a driveway stain. After reviewing options and the additional concrete spaces in and around their home, this project grew to include a pool and porch stain & seal, plus a prep and seal of their carport.
As their concrete contractor, we helped them discover the potential of their existing slabs. After seeing the beauty of a lightly exposed aggregate, they moved away from epoxy in favor of a sophisticated polished finish. We also guided them on how to achieve a high-end look through concrete refinishing and selective staining, rather than applying a uniform stain to every surface.

The Result: Not only did we refinish the front and back porch for durability, we enhanced the look of the home with a stain that matches the pool and natural stones around the outside of the home.

The Work: Achieving a light "Walnut" color goal is notoriously difficult, however, we worked to match the existing natural stone surrounding the area.
The Result: A concrete finish that elevates the home’s existing elements and added additional finishes to ensure the color stays and maintains durability for years.

The Result: To provide a sharp, clean finish while remaining budget-conscious, we opted for a prep and seal rather than a full stain. This intentionally enhanced the slab's natural color while providing a high-quality protective finish.

What is the realistic upkeep? While not strictly required, we recommend a professional reseal every 3–7 years based on usage to keep the surfaces looking their best and maintaining their protective properties.
